DEVO PLUS – 2 WEEKEND DAYS + 2 WEEKNIGHTS (Train to Train 1)
For ages 11-12, this program is our recommended transition to Freestyle and Freeskiing Local Teams. This group will ski the whole mountain, still experiencing all of our disciplines; Freeskiing (Big Mountain, Park and Pipe) and Freestyle (Moguls, Aerials) but spending more time where the passions flair. The focus is on skill development and fundamentals but we will also have introductions to Local and some Regional competitions when athletes are ready to sample different disciplines. We work on carving skills, body stance, vision, pole plants, edging, box/rail sliding, take offs, landings; and mountain etiquette/safety. We will then apply these fundamentals to the terrain park, halfpipe, moguls, aerials, trees, back bowls and upper mountain. The UOP’s Adventure Park is built to suit young skiers and enhance the learning curve.  Participants will be taught skills in all disciplines in a fun, safe and diverse atmosphere at the UOP.  This level of athlete will have the opportunity to participate in three fun events designed to expose athletes to the competition environment.
